The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has dismissed claims by the Nigeria Police Force that its security arm, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), had a camp dismantled in Anambra State.

Naijaonpoint understands that the police had earlier announced that its operatives destroyed a suspected ESN camp in Aguluezechukwu, Aguata Local Government Area, linking the site to the separatist group.

But in a statement issued on Thursday, IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful, described the claim as false and misleading.

“We have no camp for police to dismantle in Anambra or anywhere else,” the statement read.

‘No Evidence Against Us’

The pro-Biafra group insisted that security agencies have failed to provide credible evidence connecting IPOB to alleged camps.

“No evidence has been presented to show that the said camps the security agencies often link to IPOB actually belong to the group,” the statement added.

IPOB further challenged the police to make such proof available to the public or present it before a court of law.

The group said it was willing to fund investigative teams to travel to the South-East to confirm the truth.

“Let it be known: IPOB remains whiter than white. No amount of propaganda can taint our cause, which is rooted in justice, self-determination, and truth,” the statement said.
