No Person Can Defeat Tinubu – Atiku’s Son Says As He Officially Joins APC

Abba Atiku, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and declared that no political party can defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Naijaonpoint reports that Abba made the declaration on Monday in Yola after collecting his APC membership registration card at Gwadabawa Ward in Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Speaking at the event, Abba said he joined the ruling party to contribute to what he described as the economic and human development reforms of the Tinubu administration.

“I want to make it very clear that nobody or any political party can stop President Bola Tinubu from returning to Aso Rock come 2027,” he said.

According to him, Nigerians have begun to appreciate the president’s leadership style.

“Nigerians have seen his good work; he is not a tribalist. He doesn’t make appointments based on religion or region, but purely on merit,” Abba added.

Abba said he was motivated by what he described as massive human and infrastructural development under the current administration, urging Nigerians to rally behind the president.

“The president needs your support to continue with the good work. We should mobilise more people, beyond party affiliations, to support our president,” he said.

The APC Zonal Vice Chairman for Adamawa Central, Alhaji Isa Bagalti, who presented Abba with his membership card, said the defection had further strengthened the ruling party.

“It is now clear to people that there is no party in Nigeria or presidential candidate that can face our president at the poll come 2027,” Bagalti said.

Also speaking, a prominent APC chieftain in Adamawa State, Alhaji Jamil Yusuf, said President Tinubu had no credible rival ahead of the next presidential election.

He described other aspirants as “wishful thinkers,” arguing that they lacked the capacity to challenge the president.

“Many of those saying they want to contest see politics as a trade fair. I advise such people to invest their money elsewhere, because the office of the president is no longer for the highest bidder but for competent people like President Tinubu,” Yusuf said.

Abba Atiku’s defection comes amid contrasting political alignments within the Atiku family.

Adamu Atiku, the first son of the former vice president, remains a leading member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and currently serves as Commissioner for Works and Energy Development under Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is reportedly pursuing his presidential ambition on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
