Nigerian music star, Tiwa Savage, has gifted her son, Jamil Balogun, his first mobile phone as he turned 10 years old.

Naijaonpoint reports that in a heartwarming video shared online, the songstress could be heard handing over the device while laying down clear rules.

Jamil, visibly excited, received the gift with a big smile, saying, “I feel nice. Finally, I have a phone.”

The proud mother reminded the birthday boy about the rules that come with owning a phone.

“So birthday boy, what’s the rule of having a phone?” she asked. Jamil replied, “No social media.”

She confirmed, “Exactly. Just your Roblox and FaceTime with me.”

Naijaonpoint recalls that the singer expressed sadness over difficulties in securing a travel visa.

Tiwa Savage, in a post via Snapchat, stated that all travel plans for her son’s birthday have been ruined.

The ‘Ma Lo’ crooner stated that the visa is not yet out, and she is unaware of whether it has been approved or not.

According to the songwriter, there is a huge shoot she does not want to miss in London, as it could affect many opportunities surrounding her album and its release date.

She wrote, “I don’t even know whether my visa was approved or not. All I know is that my passport is not out. I have a huge shoot in London, and if I miss it, I miss so many opportunities surrounding my album and its release date. I feel like crying.

Jamil’s birthday is tomorrow, and the travel plans I had for him are all ruined. My heart is so heavy. I’m just going to switch off today. Praying that God gives life and hope tomorrow”.
