Filmmaker Noble Igwe has narrated how himself and his family escaped after a fire broke out in their Lagos residence on Sunday afternoon.

Naijaonpoint reports that the incident occurred around 12:30 pm when an air conditioner in the kitchen caught fire while the family was preparing to leave for brunch.

According to the media personality, the fire was quickly noticed, and immediate action from neighbours, estate staff, and drivers helped contain the flames to the kitchen.

The Lagos State Fire Service arrived promptly with a new fire truck and assisted in controlling the situation.

No injuries were reported, and damage was limited to the kitchen area.

He wrote on his Instagram page: “This is a post to say thank God for his faithfulness. About 12:30 pm, the AC in our kitchen caught fire while we were getting ready to go out for brunch. The help informed us and Chioma ran out with her children and asked for the keys to her car (Chairman, car kwa).

“Anyways, it’s always good to build a community because today, my community showed up and fought the fire. Drivers, gatemen, house owners showed up and restricted the fire to the kitchen.

“The amazing part was the Lagos State Fire Service showing up on time in an amazing brand new truck. We bash the government but today, I am here to say thank you to Lagos State Government, thank you Gov Babajide.

“We thank God almighty for his mercies and grace. Help me thank you.”

Noble Igwe, originally from Abia State, is the founder of 360 Group and the entertainment platform 360Nobs.

He is married to Chioma Otisi, and together they have children.
