Nollywood actor and filmmaker Don Richard has opened up on a serious health challenge he faced shortly after making a major lifestyle change.
The actor said he became very ill two years after he stopped drinking alcohol and smoking, Naijaonpoint reports.
The illness was unexpected, especially as he believed his health would improve after leaving those habits behind.
He shared his experience in a video where he recalled being admitted to the hospital during the health crisis.
That period, he said, made him reflect deeply about life, health, and the hidden dangers people carry inside them without knowing.
He explained that many serious health problems, especially among public figures, often begin internally and show no signs until they become severe.
While in the hospital, he said he had various conversations with doctors and realized that many common causes of death are linked to hidden issues involving major organs like the liver, lungs, and kidneys.
He also pointed out that people should not assume good health just because they feel fine on the outside.

Meanwhile, Nigerian singer Reekado Banks has raised an alarm over a powerful figure in the music industry who, according to him, has been taking advantage of young talents.
In an interview with podcaster Esther Oye, Reekado claimed that the individual in question has worked with many upcoming artistes, only for them to later experience unusual setbacks and chaos in their careers.
Although he declined to name the person, the singer stated that the man is well aware of his actions.
Reekado urged rising stars to be cautious and stay informed so they don’t fall victim to the same traps.
