ACTOR and movie producer Ruth Kadiri has sent an important message to her fellow Nollywood actors.
Taking to her Instagram page, she urged them to relieve themselves of the pressure, stating that any producer who demands one million views from them in just one day has failed.
Kadiri emphasized that a successful production requires more than just having a recognizable face.
She firmly asserted that one million views should not be considered a standard measure of success or failure. Kadiri encouraged her colleagues not to let the ignorance of certain producers affect their happiness.
In a sharp critique, the mother of two noted that those producers who do not invest in talent often have the most negative opinions to share about others.
“Dear Nollywood actors,
Take the pressure off your shoulders!
Any producer who requires one million views from you in one day has failed! A good production needs more than just your face!
One million views is not a standard of success or failure. There’s so much you all don’t know about YouTube.  Don’t let their ignorance rob you of your joy! The ones who never invest in anyone are often the ones with the most nonsense to say about others!”
Ruth Kadiri is undeniably leaving her mark in Nollywood, especially in filmmaking.
In February, many Nigerians praised her for introducing new artists in her movies after a social media user, Chude Nnamdi, highlighted that Ruth was not receiving enough credit for bringing young actors into the spotlight through her streaming platform on YouTube.
