Nothing just introduced the Ear and Ear (a), the company’s latest TWS earbuds, at its community update event from Japan. The Ear is the successor to last year’s Nothing Ear (2) with new 11mm drivers with improved stack layout, improving vibration amplitude of the Nothing Ear by 110% offering better bass.
This also offers a new ceramic diaphragm, has two vents for improved airflow for less distortion and an improved mic design for wind to flow easily, and improved voice algorithm promising 60% reduction in interference compared to Ear (2). This also adds LDAC codec in addition to LHDC.
The Ear also gets a 25% improved battery life, promising 40.5 total battery life with the case and up to 8.5 hours standalone playback without ANC. It promises up to 10 hours of battery life with 10 minutes of charging.
The Nothing Ear (a) get a new design, a new Yellow colour, 11mm drivers, LDAC, 45dB ANC, but uses PMI + TPU diapragham, and lacks LHDC support. It promises up to 42.5h total battery life with the case and up to 9.5h standalone, the highest on Nothing TWS earbuds yet. This doesn’t have wireless charging, but offers 10h battery life with 10 minutes of charging.
The earbuds also feature ChatGPT that can be Setup via the Nothing X app. This offers ChatGPT voice access to the Ear and Ear (a) when connected to the phone. This feature will be available soon to Ear (1), Ear (2) and Ear (stick) as well as CMF audio products with an update in June.

The Nothing Ear comes in Black and White colours and is priced at Rs. 11,999, making it Rs. 2000 more than the Ear (2). There is a Rs. 1000 launch discount on Flipkart, and the earbuds will be available from April 29th.
