Notorious Bandit Leader Killed In Zamfara

A prominent bandit leader identified simply as Na’ballo, known for his alliance with Ado Aleiro, has been reported dead.

Na’ballo, infamous for instilling fear in local communities, was reportedly killed during a clash between rival bandit groups in the area.

Naijaonpoint reports that the notorious bandit, known for instilling fear in local communities, was said to operate from eastern Takulawa within the Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara, where he orchestrated various criminal endeavours.

An expert in counter-terrorism and insurgency in the Lake Chad Basin, Zagazola Makama, indicated in his latest publication that Na’ballo’s demise occurred during a dispute among rival bandit groups in the vicinity.

In a different event on Monday, suspected Fulani bandits attacked motorists travelling between the villages of Kucheri and Magazu.

The motorists managed to escape and promptly informed the military.

In response to the intelligence received, troops acted quickly and executed a coordinated operation, resulting in the elimination of all eight assailants.

There were no civilian casualties reported during the military’s intervention.

Just recently, the Nigerian military forces reported the killing of the son of notorious bandits kingpin Bello Turji.

This is as the military intensified their operations against the infamous bandit leader.

The latest development was confirmed in a statement released on X on Sunday by Zagazola Makama.

He noted that the recent coordinated military actions have successfully dismantled several of Turji’s primary hideouts located in Fakai, within the Shinkafi Local Government Area.

Makama indicated that this progress follows a series of effective missions that led to the destruction of numerous bandit camps in the Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The security expert identified the camps targeted by the military as Zangon Dan Gwandi, Zangon Tsaika, and Zangon Kagara, as well as a school that Turji allegedly utilized for the storage of food and weapons.
