NSCDC Takes Fresh Action To Curb Insecurity In Kwara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), in Kwara State, has enhanced its operational framework by establishing seven new Area Commands and 11 Divisions throughout the 16 local government areas of the state.

The newly formed Area Commands include Area I (Lafiagi), Area J (Oke-Oyi), Area K (Agbabiaka), Area L (Patigi), Area M (Kaoama), Area N (Share), and Area O (Ilemona). The new Divisions are situated in Alagbado, Jebba, Kpada, Ilupeju, Shonga, Tsaragi, Oro, Bacita, Lade, Agbabiaka, and Amayo.

The state commandant of NSCDC, Umar Muhammed, conveyed this information in a statement issued by the Corps public relations officer, Ayoola Michael. He noted that the establishment of these new Area Commands and Divisions received the endorsement of the Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Audi.

This initiative is part of NSCDC’s continuous efforts to meet its core mandates and statutory duties, aimed at improving operational efficiency and service delivery throughout the state.

Muhammed noted that “This development complements the existing Area Commands and Divisions, reinforcing the Corps’ commitment to strengthening its presence within communities and fostering collaboration in the fight against criminality in all its forms.

“The new Area Commands and Divisions have commenced operations, and I encourage the public to cooperate with the personnel in these offices as we work to eliminate criminal elements from our communities.”
