THE ongoing marital dispute involving Senator Ned Nwoko and Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has taken a new and controversial turn following the public release of a document attributed to a former live-in nurse in the household.
Yesterday, the lawmaker shared on his verified 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) account a document presented as a written statement by a nurse identified as Dora, who reportedly worked in the Nwoko residence from July 2023.
The statement dated January 9, 2026, has since generated widespread public reaction, with many questioning both its timing and intent.
In the document, the nurse alleged that she observed what she described as concerning behavioural changes in Regina Daniels beginning around September 2025.
She claimed the actress allegedly requested assistance in obtaining prescription medications and asked questions relating to potentially dangerous dosages of substances such as morphine and pethidine.
The claims, if substantiated, would raise serious medical and legal concerns.
The statement further alleged that the nurse once encountered substances described as opioids, anaesthetics, and cannabis arranged in Regina’s room.
One of the most striking claims detailed an alleged request for the nurse to empty a ketamine injection onto a flat surface and heat it in a microwave to create crystals—an instruction the nurse said alarmed her and prompted her refusal.
According to the document, the nurse maintained that she declined all such requests, citing professional ethics and safety considerations, and insisted that she neither prepared nor administered any substances during her employment.
Beyond allegations relating to substance use, the statement also addressed claims of domestic conflict within the marriage.
The nurse stated that she never witnessed Senator Nwoko physically assault his wife, countering online speculation about domestic violence.
She said disputes she observed were verbal and reportedly centered on concerns about Regina’s alleged drinking and smoking habits.
“My employer, Senator Ned Nwoko, neither drinks nor smokes, and I have not seen or heard of him physically abusing my madam,” the document quoted the nurse as saying.
The statement also referenced a friend of Regina Daniels identified as Ann Cassie, alleging her involvement in procuring and mixing substances.
The document claimed Ann Cassie was recently arrested and charged with multiple offences, including allegations related to a past illegal abortion and cyberbullying, with the cases said to be pending in court following the grant of bail.
While none of the allegations have been independently verified, the decision to make the document public has intensified scrutiny of the couple’s private life.
Critics have raised concerns about the use of personal statements in public disputes, warning against trial by media, while others argue that the senator is attempting to respond to widespread speculation.
