Controversial political activist Nuru Okanga has caused a stir online after claiming that he dreamt of the late Raila Odinga, who allegedly expressed dissatisfaction with the way he was buried.
In a passionate statement shared on social media, Okanga said he spoke to “Baba” in a dream, and the former Prime Minister appeared disturbed by certain details surrounding his burial. According to Okanga, Raila allegedly instructed him to tell the family to dig him out and remove the tie and cap he was buried with, saying they were making him uncomfortable.
“I dreamt of Raila Odinga yesterday. I spoke to Baba in the dream, and he was not happy with the way he was buried. He told me to ask the family to dig him out and remove the tie and cap he was buried with because they make him angry every time he sees them,” Okanga said.
He added that Raila’s spirit allegedly asked for peace and rest, urging his supporters and family members to grant him the comfort he deserves. “May Baba’s soul finally find peace. Rest in peace, Baba,” Okanga concluded.
The statement has ignited mixed reactions across social media, with some Kenyans dismissing the claims as mere attention-seeking while others viewed it as a symbolic expression of unresolved grief among Raila’s loyal supporters.
Religious leaders have urged caution, advising Kenyans to handle such sensitive claims with respect and focus on praying for the departed leader’s peace rather than engaging in superstition.
