Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday paid a private visit to former military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (retd.), at his Hill Top residence in Minna, Niger State.
Obasanjo was received at the Ahmed Bola Tinubu International Airport, Minna, and escorted to the residence by officials of the Niger State Government House Protocol.
According to Daily Post, sources said the former president spent about 30 minutes in a closed-door meeting with Babangida before returning to the airport.
Details of the discussions were not disclosed, as no official statement was issued by either party at the time of filing this report.
The meeting comes amid heightened political consultations across the country.
Recall that Obasanjo recently hosted leaders and key figures from opposition political parties at his residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State, fuelling further political conjecture.
As of press time, no clarification had been given on the purpose of the Minna visit.
