An Ocean’s 14 update confirms the return of a key villain as filming has been set for 2026. In October 2025, after years of development, George Clooney announced that Warner Bros. had officially approved the budget for Ocean’s 14 and that filming was set to start soon. However, it’s unclear how many other original cast members will be returning.
Now, during an interview with The Wrap for Landman season 2, Andy Garcia said that he will be returning in Ocean’s 14, with filming expected in 2026. Garcia stated that filming was originally scheduled to begin in January 2026, but had to be postponed slightly because of scheduling conflicts. Brad Pitt is set to finish filming The Adventures of Cliff Booth in January 2026, which may have contributed to the delay.
In October 2025, George Clooney said that Ocean’s 14 would most likely start filming in the summer of 2026, though a specific start date hasn’t been set:
We just got the budget approved at Warner Brothers. It’s just scheduling, so it’s just getting a start date for us. We’ll probably start [shooting] in about nine or ten months… Brad [Pitt], Matt [Damon], and Don [Cheadle], and Julia [Roberts]. I had dinner last night with Julia. They’re all still really dear friends, so the chance to work together will be fun.
Andy Garcia played antagonist Terry Benedict, the owner of the three casinos – the Bellagio, the Mirage, and the MGM Grand – robbed by Danny Ocean (George Clooney) and his crew in Ocean’s Eleven (2001). Andy Garcia’s Terry Benedict returned in the sequels Ocean’s Twelve (2004), demanding that Danny Ocean’s crew return the money they stole, and Ocean’s Thirteen (2007), joining the heist crew to help them take down their shared rival, Willy Bank (Al Pacino).
Though Steven Soderbergh directed the original Ocean’s trilogy, and Gary Ross directed the all-female spinoff Ocean’s 8 (2018), David Leitch (Bullet Train, The Fall Guy) is attached to direct Ocean’s 14.
In addition to Ocean’s 14, an untitled Ocean’s prequel movie is also in development at Warner Bros., which is set to star Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper and be directed by Oscar nominee Lee Issac Chung (Minari, Twisters).
