Popular Nigerian rapper, Tochukwu Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, has disclosed that the red cap, which is often seen as part of his trademark style, has a deep cultural meaning in Igbo tradition.
Naijaonpoint reports that Odumodublvck while speaking in a recent interview on Comfortably Speaking podcast, said he is using the cap to fight an industry war.
While describing the music industry as a battleground, the rapper said, “This is a war cap. Whenever my tribe wants to go to war against another clan, all the warriors will wear this.
“So if I enter the music industry, which is a battleground, put two and two together.”
Meanwhile, as Odumodublvck, has issued warning to his colleagues who are engaging in rivalry against him.
The Blood On The Dance Floor crooner said those who oppose him may end up struggling under the weight of their actions.
The artiste made it clear that anyone holding grudges or creating enmity with him should reconsider for their own peace.
He stated that he will continue to succeed regardless of the ill feelings of others, adding that his progress could trouble those who wish him harm.
Odumodublvck’s remarks came amid renewed tension between him and fellow rapper Blaqbonez, who recently took a swipe at him in a new track titled ACL.
