Czech side SK Artis Brno have confirmed the signing of Nigerian attacker Quadri Adediran on a two-year contract from SK Dynamo České Budějovice, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 24-year-old forward, originally from Lagos, is making a fresh start after a topsy-turvy spell in Czech football.

Adediran has clocked up 66 appearances in the country’s top flight and scored nine goals since arriving four years ago. He initially featured for Dukla Prague before making a move to South Bohemia with České Budějovice.

His time there included a brief switch to Baník Ostrava, where he made 15 appearances, but he returned to Dynamo last season, only to see the club relegated from the top division. Both his former and current teams will now compete in the second tier of Czech football.

Artis Brno, formerly known as SK Líšeň, have undergone significant restructuring in recent months following the club’s acquisition by businessman Igor Fait. Plans to rebrand and relocate to the Městský fotbalový stadion Srbská – sharing grounds with FC Zbrojovka Brno – are now in motion, with the team aiming to make a serious push for promotion.

Sporting director Vlastimil Chytrý hailed Adediran as a key addition to their attacking setup.

“I chose Quadri, just like Vuky, almost immediately after I joined Artis,” said Chytrý.

“He is a fast, assertive, aggressive striker who fits perfectly into our new active offensive style of play. At the age of 24, he has made around 70 league starts and I am convinced that he is one of the key offensive players to fulfil our ambitions at Artis Brno.”

Adediran’s arrival adds to the club’s ambition as they look to build a competitive squad capable of challenging for top-flight promotion.

The financial details of the deal was not made public but Adediran, who has managed 31 goals in 130 games across his professional career, is valued at €300,000 by Transfermarkt.
