WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Former Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has been appointed as the new head coach of Egyptian giants Zamalek, Soccernet.ng reports. Peseiro was in charge of the Super Eagles for two years, and his stay was filled with a lot of controversies. The Portuguese tactician started on a poor note, losing his first two games. However, he bounced back with two wins. Peseiro had a rollercoaster run with Nigeria until the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations last year, when he guided the Super Eagles to a second-place finish. Recall that Peseiro’s contract was supposed to expire a few months before the last Nations Cup, but the Nigeria Football Federation handed him a short extension that would see his deal expre at the end of the competition. This was as the jury was out on him and they did not want to pay extra if they eventually sacked him after the AFCON. Eventually, that decision backfired, as Peseiro refused to sign a new deal. The former Venezuela gaffer has been without a job since then, but he now has a new job as Zamalek have announced him as their new coach. More to follow….
