Ogbakor Ikwerre USA/Canada Moves To Reconcile Rivers, 2 Former Governors, Chibuike Amaechi And Nyesom Wike

To ensure peace and unity among Ikwerre people the president of Ogbakor Ikwerre USA/ Canada Dr Patrick Anya Woke has called for reconciliation between the former Minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and the current Minister of Federal Capital territory Nyesom Wike

The president of Ogbakor Ikwerre USA/Canada Dr Anya Woke made the call while addressing Journalist at event to mark the end of the free medicals outreach held in port Harcourt
He said the group is desiring to see the two former Governors of rivers state settle their political difference. He said the Ogbakor Ikwerre USA / Canada had earlier initiated moves to settle the two Ikwerre sons before the 2023 general election which both of them ran for president.

The president of Ogbakor Ikwerre USA/ Canada, Dr. Anya Woke expressed the desire of the non Governmental Organisation to collaborate with more groups to extend the medical outreach to other areas and communities within the state following the large number of patience who benefitted from the outreach..

He also thanked donors and Partners for their support and described the free medical mission “as a way of giving back to the society, stressing that within the period, thousands of people from the four Ikwerre speaking local government areas were treated free for various ailments. Noting that a number of patients received free medical treatment, surgeries and consultations, as the exercise has not only improved the quality of lives of his people but ensured quality health care for them ‘

He emphasized on the importance of accessible healthcare and appeal to rivers state government to partner with well meaning organisations and indigenes in diaspora to improve healthcare deliveries in communities across the state

“He disclosed that the medical team saw over 1000 patients per day with different medical and surgical conditions from the four Ikwerre speaking communities and local government area”

For his part, the Nigerian Medical representative of Medical Visions for Peace (MPV), Dr Godwin Iche, lauded OIUSA/Canada for the 2025 medical outreach which according to him benefited a lot of the people who reside in the state.

Also speaking to newsmen the Financial secretary Ogbakor Ikwerre USA and Canada Eze Charles Wopara said the group will continue to prioritize the health of it’s people be engaging larger groups and individuals to archive greater success.

He said the mission this time around was not only a, success but has reduced poverty as well as improved the health of the Ikwerre speaking people in the rural areas with the magnitude of services rendered
