WATCH THE VIDEO HERE THE Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of three individuals suspected of possessing human body parts in the Itoju area of Abeokuta, the state capital. In a statement released in Abeokuta, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, disclosed that on April 22, 2025, around 8:00 a.m., operatives from the command’s SWAT unit, acting on credible intelligence, apprehended Sunday Akintobi, a 36-year-old resident of Itoku, Abeokuta, for allegedly dealing in human parts. She added that further investigations led to the arrest of two more suspects, Oladimeji Olaniran, aged 40, and Isaiah Tijani, aged 38. A search of their homes reportedly uncovered human remains, including cerebral bones found at a location disguised as a Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Kobape and along Abiola Way in Abeokuta. The Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, has ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to carry out a thorough investigation to determine the extent of the suspects’ involvement in the crime. Odutola emphasized that the Ogun State Police Command, committed to maintaining a safe environment, calls on residents to avoid protecting criminal elements and to provide security agencies with timely and credible information to help tackle ritual killings and other violent crimes.
