The Ogun State Police Command has filed a six-count charge against activist Adetoun Onajobi, popularly known as justadetoun, over alleged cyber-related offences.
According to a statement seen by Dockaysworld, the charges are pending before the Abeokuta Division of the Federal High Court and stem from alleged violations of the Cybercrimes Act.
The statement said Onajobi is accused of using social media and other internet-enabled platforms to publish false accusations against the Ogun State Government and to harass the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun.
It added that on January 2, 2026, the blogger was invited for questioning but failed to honour the police invitation, citing medical reasons through her lawyer.
The police claimed that a medical report submitted in her defence was later found to be false, leading to the arrest of the doctor who allegedly admitted to fabricating the document at the suspect’s request.
The doctor has since been arraigned before an Ogun State Magistrates’ Court on charges bordering on conspiracy, uttering a false document and obstruction of justice.
The statement noted that Onajobi has remained evasive, with her whereabouts currently unknown, adding that the Command would deploy all lawful means to apprehend her and ensure she appears in court to answer the charges.
The police reiterated their commitment to tackling all forms of crime, including digital offences, while stressing that freedom of speech does not exempt individuals from criminal liability.
