Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has thrown its full weight behind the upcoming Imo State Economic Summit 2025, describing Governor Hope Uzodinma’s initiative as a bold and visionary step toward repositioning Imo as an economic powerhouse in the Southeast and Nigeria at large.
In an official endorsement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ezechi Chukwu, the apex Igbo body said it “wholeheartedly” supports the summit scheduled for December 4–5, 2025, in Owerri, Imo State.
Speaking on behalf of the organization, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator Azuta Mbata, praised the governor’s foresight, saying the summit represents a transformative moment for Imo and the wider Igbo nation.

The theme of the summit — “Unlocking Imo’s Economic Potential: Partnership, Investment & Innovation” — aligns directly with Ohanaeze’s long-standing advocacy for the economic revival of the Igbo region.
According to Mbata, the focus on partnership-driven development, job creation, and sustainable growth captures the aspirations of Ndigbo for greater economic empowerment and long-term stability.
