Victor Olatunji and Kelechi Nwakali delivered standout performances as Sparta Prague and Barnsley secured impressive wins in the Czech Republic and England, respectively, Footynaija.com reports.

Victor Olatunji found the net in Sparta Prague’s dominant 3-0 victory over Dukla Praha in their Czech Cup round-of-16 clash at the epet ARENA.

The Nigerian forward came off the bench in the 66th minute and rounded off the scoring as the Czech champions booked their place in the quarter-finals.

In England’s League One, Kelechi Nwakali put in a commanding midfield display to help Barnsley claim a 2-1 away win at Northampton Town.

In the Premier League, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey were second-half substitutes as Fulham returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory at struggling Wolves.

Elsewhere, Joe Aribo and Paul Onuachu started for Southampton, but they could not prevent a heavy 4-0 defeat at Chelsea.

In the Championship, Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute, but Middlesbrough did not need his services as they secured a 3-1 away win at Stoke City.

Meanwhile, in the National League North/South, Miracle Okafor netted his second goal of the season to inspire Brackley Town to a commanding 6-1 win over Rushall Olympic.

In the Saudi Pro League, Odion Ighalo’s struggles in front of goal continued as Al Wehda fell 2-0 to Al Nassr.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane were on target for the visitors, condemning Al Wehda to their 15th league defeat of the season.

Ighalo, who came on in the 77th minute, has now gone eight games without a goal. The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Golden Boot winner last found the net in Al Wehda’s 2-1 victory at Al Fateh on January 9 — their only win of 2025 so far.

With relegation looming, Ighalo and Al Wehda will aim to turn their fortunes around when they visit Al Fayha on March 1.
