Olympiacos have submitted a second bid for Super Eagles defender Bruno Onyemaechi, as interest in the Boavista star intensifies during the winter transfer window, Soccernet.football reports.

The Greek side had their initial €2.5 million offer rejected by Boavista, who value the Nigerian international more highly, according to O Jogo.

Onyemaechi, 26, joined Boavista from Feirense in 2022, initially on loan before the deal was made permanent for €1 million in 2023.

His consistent performances as a versatile left-back have drawn interest from multiple clubs, including Turkey’s Trabzonspor and Besiktas, as well as Spain’s Las Palmas.

Olympiacos now await Boavista’s response to their improved offer, hopeful of securing one of the Portuguese side’s key assets.

Despite the transfer speculation, Onyemaechi’s focus on the pitch has not wavered.

The Nigerian was in inspired form during Boavista’s 3-2 loss to Casa Pia on Monday night, contributing a goal and an assist.

However, the defeat, coupled with his fifth yellow card of the season, means Onyemaechi will miss Boavista’s crucial clash with SC Braga on Sunday, January 26, due to suspension.

Onyemaechi’s disciplinary record includes yellow cards against Estrela Amadora, Vitória Guimarães, Sporting CP, and Arouca before his latest booking against Casa Pia.

In 18 league appearances this term, Onyemaechi has managed three goals and and assist.
