WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Protesting erupted this morning in Omagwa Ikwerre local government area after an alleged shooting to death of a resident by a trigger happy police officer acting on certain orders According to a resident who shared the details of the protest and information with a video of the man shot to death on Facebook with the handles lkenda Clinton Elechi says- There’s a developing story in my dear Community, Omagwa as at this moment Info says that Police Men from Omagwa Division shot and killed an innocent young Man, Bright Chikuma Egbule at the early hours of today Following that incident, the Community rose in protest, firstly taking the Corpse to the Police Station where it was reported that the Police opened fire on the harmless protesters The Community has mobilised and blocked the Federal Road with the Corpse, thereby leading to complete blockade of access to Motorists We fear the protest may escalate if nothing is done to address the matter and bring the rogue Police Men to justice This is a very unfortunate incident In recent times, my Omagwa people have been victims of harassment from Security Agencies Months ago, the DSS on the orders of a certain Man came in the dead of the night, shot sporadically and whisked an innocent young Man away They locked him incommunicado for 1 Month without access to either his Family or Lawyer Last week, the same DSS returned in the dead of the night, harassed the Family of Mr. Felix Anonya aka Muchacha, brutalised his Wife and Kids and forcefully took him away while naked The DSS we were informed took with them important Family documents, raising concerns that they are working for an interested person seeking to cow the entire Community into submission Today’s incident brings to the fore the harassment my people are suffering in the hands of Security Personnel who are supposed to protect them but have now turned around to become their tormentors It is important to state that all of the persons involved are innocent people who do not have antecedents of criminality This is a call to the #NigeriaPolice , the #DSS , the Federal, State and Local Governments to come to the aid of my people and save them from the hands of these rogue Security Personnel https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1AvYcPJRLz/
