Omotola reveals post-surgery struggles

ACTRESS Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has shared her experiences following gallbladder removal surgery, which left her with visible scars.

In a recent post on her Instagram page, she acknowledged that, although the scars could affect her confidence, her self-esteem remains strong.

In November 2024, the actress opened up about her battle with a life-threatening illness. In a video post, Omotola expressed her feelings of self-consciousness, saying, “My tummy is no longer perfect.”

She continued, “Late in 2024, I underwent emergency surgery. My tummy used to be one of the best parts of my body, but it’s not perfect anymore.”

Recalling a moment from a recent photoshoot, she shared, “During the shoot, I forgot and adjusted my top for the pose. I heard a voice in my head saying there’s nothing to show anymore. But not me! Nothing can shake my confidence. I smiled and danced. I’m alive; they’re just scars. Some people’s scars are physical, while others are emotional.”
