WATCH THE VIDEO HERE The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has cast his vote in the ongoing gubernatorial election in the state. Aiyedatiwa arrived at Polling Unit 5, Ugbo Ward 4, in Ilaje Local Government Area at around 8:40 a.m. The governor commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the conduct of the election. He described the process as orderly and transparent. “It is encouraging to see the exercise going smoothly here. I am hopeful that this is reflective of the experience across the state,” he said He called on all officials and security personnel to ensure that every voter is allowed to cast their vote freely and without obstruction. The Governor also praised the security agencies for their effective handling of issues that could have threatened the peace of the state and noted that Ondo State remains one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria. “We have consistently conducted peaceful elections over the years, and I am confident this one will be no different,” he said.
