THE Ondo State Police Command has arrested a middle-aged trader, Bosede Iluyemi, for allegedly killing her elder sister, Omowumi Tewogboye, during a dispute over an ₦800 debt in Akure, the state capital.
According to reports, Omowumi had purchased tomatoes and pepper on credit from Bosede but failed to settle the payment.
The disagreement reportedly escalated into a physical altercation, during which Bosede allegedly grabbed her sister’s clothes, causing her to fall and sustain serious injuries.
Omowumi was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, DSP Olusola Ayanlade, said Bosede has been taken into custody and the case is under investigation. He assured that the matter would be thoroughly handled and justice served.
