Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawon has joined the list of Nollywood actors making their Hollywood debut.
Via his Instagram page, the actor shared a video of him giving his fans and followers the Hollywood Hills home he is currently staying in Los Angeles. The talented actor stated that it would have been so much cooler to pretend to be here wasn’t such a big deal, but only if people knew where he was coming from and how rough the road has been would they understand how big this is, him and his family.
Giving a shout-out to his Hollywood plug, he asserted that there is God.
“Hello, guys, forget the way I look for a second; this is Hollywood Hills; this is just a tiny fraction of Hollywood Hills, and that’s where I am staying.
A lot of celebrities live around here. This is where I stay.

Deyemi has no doubt come far in his career. Last year, he paid tribute to veteran Kunle Bantefa as he recounted how he stepped into filming when he was 8/9 years old. He revealed that his first time on set was for a family commercial with veteran actress Sola Sobowale playing the role of his mother and his brother Detola Okanlawon playing his brother.
In March of 2023, Deyemi clinched a Trailblazer award, at the 16th edition of the Silverbird Awards. Deyemi, expressed gratitude to Silverbird TV as well as the public for the award, noting how the award had been a long time coming.
Also, in February of last year, Okanlawon rejoiced as he finally fulfilled one of his career desires, which was to have a positive impact on his career. The actor stated that he is living his dream through his appointment as Actors Guild of Nigeria‘s Director of Planning/Strategy.
