The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) has confirmed the appointment of Mr. Yomi Odunuga as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume.

The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) has confirmed the appointment of Mr. Yomi Odunuga as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Segun Imohiosen, the OSGF said the appointment is both formal and effective.
The clarification follows public discourse and conflicting reports surrounding the appointment.
The statement noted that Mr. Odunuga, in his new role, will provide strategic media advisory services to the SGF and work closely with the Director of Information and Public Relations to strengthen the communication framework of the Office.
”The appointment is official and currently in effect. The public and media stakeholders are advised to disregard any contrary claims or speculations,” the statement said.
It added that further verified information on matters relating to the SGF’s Office would continue to be disseminated through official channels.
The OSGF expressed confidence in Mr. Odunuga’s experience and expertise in advancing the media engagement of the Office and government at large.
