‘Oshiomhole Has Allowed Hate, Fear Of Atiku To Consume Him’ – Paul Ibe

Adams Oshiomhole and Atiku

The Media Aide to former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Paul Ibe,  has slammed Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, over comments against his principal.

Naijaonpoint reports that Oshiomhole, while featuring on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’, claimed that Atiku “allowed himself to be consumed by politics”.

Recall that Atiku, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), condemned President Bola Tinubu’s decision to visit Plateau State to attend the funeral of the mother of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, Mama Lydia.

Atiku said Tinubu attended a social event in the North-Central state instead of visiting victims and consoling communities ravaged by insecurity.

Addressing the comment, Oshiomhole said Atiku was politicising a matter that should command empathy and respect for the dead.

The former Governor of Edo State defended President Tinubu’s visit to Plateau to pay respects to Yilwatda’s mother, saying it was inappropriate to describe the gesture as insensitive.

Responding to the verbal attack, Paul Ibe, in a post on his official 𝕏 handle on Tuesday, said Oshiomhole has allowed the hate and fear of Atiku to consume him.

He wrote, “I have sympathy for Oshiomhole. He is tailoring sycophancy with a designer touch and has allowed himself to be consumed by the hate and fear of @atiku.”
