WATCH THE VIDEO HERE SUPER Eagles striker Victor Osimhen and his daughter Hailey were the headliners at Rand Park tonight as Galatasaray claimed the Turkish Super Lig title. Osimhen opened the scoring in the 3-0 victory over Kayserispor to confirm Galatasaray as the champions with two matches to spare. The Nigeria international struck in the 27th minute to take his Super Lig tally to 25 goals and five assists in 29 appearances, adding the Turkish title to the one he won with his parent club Napoli in 2023. To make the occasion even sweeter for Osimhen, it was Hailey who announced her dad’s goal to the packed stadium. As is traditional in Turkey, the first name of the scorer of a home goal is shouted over the loudspeakers, with the crowd chanting the surname. On Sunday, it was Osimhen’s daughter who shouted ‘Victor’, with the capacity crowd responding enthusiastically with ‘Osimhen!’. Baris Yilmaz and goalkeeper Fernando Muslera from the penalty spot added the other goals as Galatasaray kept their eight-point lead over second-placed Fenerbahce with just two matches left. Meanwhile, Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel was a second-half substitute for Fenerbahce in their 2-1 victory over Eyupspor as Jose Mourinho’s side finished second behind Galatasaray for the second season in a row.
