The chairman All Local government Association of Nigeria Osun state chapter Otunba sarafadeen Awotunde has alleged the central bank of Nigeria,Osun state branch of neglecting ethical practices, embracing compromise and partisan politics.
Otunba Awotunde stated this at a news conference held at the ALGON conference Hall Abere.
Pointing to the court of Appeal judgement that dismissed the application of the All progressives congress to re list the judgement of the Federal High court judgement that hitherto sacked the YES OR NO chairmen , Otunba sarafadeen Awotunde maintained that the decision of the comptroller of the osun region of the central bank to flout the order of the court and that of president Bola Tinubu is an affront.
According to him”We have the evidence that the Mrs Adeleke Abiola Omolara, the comproller of the CBN,Osun region,has provided the sacked chairmen with a form ,with a view to opening Local government Accounts for them,this is an aberration,unethical PRACTICE and a decision to cause problem in osun state”.
Expressing his dissatisfaction in the way the authorities of the CBN ,Osun region treated the legally voted chairmen under the umbrella of People’s Democratic party were treated during a visit to the bank in osogbo,Otunba Awotunde noted that Mrs Adeleke Abiola Omolara, the comptroller of the bank intentionally made herself unavable,calling on the security operatives to shut the doors at them.
“We were at the Central Bank today,Tuesday june24th, 2025,after the deputy chief security officer scheduled the appointment with Mrs Adeleke Abiola Omolara, the comptroller of the Bank,but unfortunately,a lady security,assaulted us,threatening to shoot at us and another matching on the certified True copy of the recent court of Appeal judgement,allegedly on the order of Mrs Adeleke Abiola Omolara the CBN comptroller osun region”.
The ALGON chairman however appreciated the peaceful nature of governor Ademola,and his commitments to taking osun state to a greater heights.
Otunba Awotunde therefore called on Mrs Adeleke Abiola Omolara the the comproller of the central Bank Osogbo region,to desist from playing the cards of some political impostors,and follow strictly ,the constitution that identified a lawfully voted chairman,the Director of finance,the Head of local government and Director of Administrations as only recognized signatories to the local government account.
The osun ALGON chairman also called on President Bola Tinubu to re-echo,his stance that governors should open accounts for their various local governments.
He however maintained that the Legally recognized chairmen and councillors under the umbrella of People’s Democratic party will remain peace as they purse their rights and reject abberation being perpetuated by Mrs Adeleke Abiola Omolara the CBN COMPTROLLER Osogbo region.
