Osun, Oyo people waiting to teach APC lesson – Makinde boasts

Makinde described the remark as a distraction, asserting that the people of Osun, who recognize Governor Ademola Adeleke’s leadership, would reject the APC in the next election.

Speaking at the commissioning of projects executed by Governor Adeleke, Makinde congratulated the people of Osun for their decision to elect Adeleke two years ago.

He commended the governor for delivering democratic dividends and continuing projects initiated by previous administrations, a policy Makinde said aligns with his own governance philosophy in Oyo State.

In a statement by his media adviser, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, Makinde commended Adeleke for prioritizing the people’s welfare by completing projects like the road started by former Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

He emphasized the importance of finishing inherited projects, regardless of the administration or party that initiated them, as a testament to responsible governance.

Makinde also highlighted the economic benefits of infrastructure projects, noting that development follows road construction and urging Osun residents to hold onto their properties as values would rise.

He further lauded Adeleke’s achievements, including the completion of a 250km “Light Up Osun” project, and encouraged the people to remain steadfast in their support for the governor’s vision.

On Nigeria’s broader challenges, Makinde underscored the need for visionary leadership and true federalism to address the nation’s economic issues.

He positioned himself and Adeleke as “true progressives” in the South-West, committed to implementing pro-people policies and fostering regional development.

Makinde concluded by urging Osun voters to re-elect Adeleke, affirming that their choice of leadership had brought progress and light to the state.

Governor Adeleke, in turn, expressed gratitude for Makinde’s presence and support, emphasizing the strong bond between Osun and Oyo states.
