Residents across Osun State trooped to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) offices on Monday to register for their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
The exercise followed the activation of all registration centres in the thirty local government offices of INEC in Osun, including the state headquarters.
Crowds were seen at several centres as citizens turned out in large numbers to participate in the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner in Osun, Mutiu Olaleke Agboke, confirmed the activation, noting that the initiative is to ensure no eligible voter is left out of the process.
The registration exercise is seen as a crucial step in promoting participation in the upcoming polls and strengthening the democratic process ahead of the 2026 Osun Governorship election.
