Osun West Inter-Faith Forum Prays For Adeleke’s Re-Election In 2026

‎Osun West Inter-Faith Forum (OWIF) today hosted its first maiden meeting at Iwo with fervent prayers for the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke in 2026 governorship elections.

‎The forum, powered by the Spokesperson to the Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, comprises clerics and religious leaders from the 10 local Governments making up Osun West senatorial district.

‎The forum includes Chief Imams of each towns, leaders of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in each towns and heads of Isese religion across the senatorial districts.

‎The maiden meeting held at the country home of the governor’s Spokesperson, Iwo reviewed the governor’s performance with each representative praying for the continued successes of the governor beyond 2026.

‎Addressing the forum, the Spokesperson presented a compendium of achievements of the governor in less than three years and delivered the governor’s message requesting for prayers for the good work to continue and for successful outings in future elections.

‎“I brought greetings from my principal, the Executive Governor of Osun state. His Excellency seeks your continuous prayers for Osun state and for the administration.

‎“As a godly leader, Mr Governor believes holding unto God and the people are the most potent key to success. The forum is therefore a platform to continue to seek the face of God for the stability of our dear state, successes of Mr Governor and the entire government and progress for our dear state.

‎“This forum will be meeting monthly and key leaders from Osun West will be on ground to address the gathering. More inter-faith leaders will be invited as the preparation for the September edition kicks off”, Mallam Rasheed said.

‎Praying on behalf of the muslim sector, Sheikh Imran Adio prayed for divine mercy, support and grace for Governor Adeleke, describing his government as pro-people and in tandem with the aspirations of the people.

‎Envangelish Adéjọbí Adekunle CAN chairman Iwo local Government prayed on behalf of the christian sector noted the good work of the governor and declared that the good work of the state leadership has earned the governor re-election in the divine realm.

‎Chief Ifatayo Awotunde,the Araba Awo of Ola who prayed in the traditional mode invoked Ifa lines to pray for the governor, his team and the entire state, seeking divine victory for the governor, now and in future contests.

‎Araba of ola chief, Ifatayo Awotunde, Traditional chairman Iwo local Government,  Cheif Ifayemi Anifalaje, Cheif Ifatayo Afọlábí Cheif Araba Awo of Iwoland, Evangelist Adéjọbí Adekunle CAN chairman Iwo local Government, Sheik Musa Raji , Chief Imaam Telemu Ola Oluwa, Cheif Imaam of Gbongan Cheif Oloyede Salimon, Pastor Adeniran Simon CAC Edeland, Khallefa Imran Asiru Adio, Cheif priest Oshunkeye Oyelakin Traditional Chairman Gbogan, Cheif Imaam Isiaq Mudathir Ajibopenle Islahudeen akeukawe among others.
