Otti’s Aide Condemns PDP For Setting Up Shadow Government In Abia

The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Abia State on Public Affairs Dr. Ebere Uzoukwa, has slammed the Abia State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for its attempt to constitute a ‘Shadow Government’ after numerous failures recorded during its 24-year inglorious reign.

According to Dr. Uzoukwa, the PDP’s attempt to set up a Shadow Government is dead on arrival, as assessed Governor Alex Otti has already begun to tackle the rot dumped by the Party.

“The PDP’s failures in Abia State are numerous and well-documented. The party’s mismanagement of the state’s resources led to a decline in economic activities, underdevelopment, non-payment of salaries, decayed physical infrastructure, and dilapidated roads across the state.

“The party’s incompetence also led to a collapsed healthcare system and a failed education system.

“It is indisputable that the PDP’s administration was marked by treasury looting, diversion of public funds, mediocrity, corruption, and bad governance.

“The party’s leaders were more interested in enriching themselves than providing good governance and dividends of democracy to the people of Abia State.”

Dr. Uzoukwa described as ironic that a political party that woefully failed in providing good governance and dividends of democracy when it had the opportunity is now attempting to set up a Shadow Government.

“This move is seen as a desperate attempt to distract Governor Otti from fixing the mess and rot that the PDP left behind, apparently to activate it as a campaign tool in 2027.

“Let it be known that Abia PDP has already failed ahead of time. To be honest, Abians cannot forgive the PDP for the mindless stealing and corruption that affected the socio-economic life of the state and retarded development of all kinds.

“The party’s apology for its failures is too little, too late, and Abians will continue to demonstrate their unwavering support for Governor Otti, who has been working tirelessly to bring development and progress to the state.”

Dr. Uzoukwa applauded Governor Otti for redefining governance in Abia State and rededicating the God’s Own State on the tripod of Accountability, Transparency, and Honesty.

“For the first time in a long while, Ndi Abia has now seen and witnessed a government that can provide the dividends of democracy.

“The governor’s commitment to good governance and transparency has earned him the trust and admiration of the people.

“His good work and developmental strides speak volumes of his uncompromising commitment and preparedness to lift Abia from the pit of destruction to a model and economically prosperous State in Nigeria.”
