France international Ousmane Dembele has reportedly stepped on the toes of Paris Saint Germain coach Luis Enrique, ahead of their Champions League clash with Premier League side Arsenal.

Due to the reported conflict between Ousmane Dembele and the Spanish tactician, the Frenchman has been excluded from PSG’s squad for the Champions League clash which will kick-off at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1.

Reports in France claimed that the former FC Barcelona coach and the
27-year-old France international clashed after PSG’s 3-1 French Ligue 1 win over Stade Rennais on September 27.

As a result, a disciplinary action had to be taken against Ousmane Dembele which will prevent him from travelling with PSG to London. This is expected to be good news for Arsenal due to the hot form of Dembele so far this season.

Note that Dembele, who joined PSG from FC Barcelona on August 12, 2023, for a transfer fee worth €50 million, is arguably the best player at the reigning French Ligue 1 champions so far this season.

Before his exclusion from PSG’s Champions League squad, the Frenchman had scored four goals and provided four assists in seven games in all competitions this campaign.

Before now, Ousmane Dembele has played in all of PSG’s games this season. In his last match for the club which was against Rennais, he provided an assist and was expected to take the form to the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night. Unfortunately for him, he would have to watch the game from home.
