Over 62,000 Osun indigenes have applied for the Federal Government recruitment under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

The available 30,000 slots have attracted more than 1.9 million applicants across the country.

Surprisingly, over 5,200 applicants also successfully submitted their applications after the CDCFIB announced the closure of its recruitment portal on August 11, 2025.

Checks by AMILOADED correspondent, at about 4 a.m. on the day of the closure showed a total of 1,908,867 applications.

However, a follow-up check at about 7 p.m. revealed that the figure had risen to 1,914,072, indicating that 5,215 additional applicants were able to complete their submissions within that period.

The surge came despite the board’s earlier closure announcement.
