Nigeria’s Afrobeat star Odumodublvck has weighed in on the ongoing transfer saga surrounding Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Nigerian rapper, who is known for his breakout song “Declan Rice,” expressed strong disapproval over Inter Milan’s reported €40 million offer for the Atalanta forward.

In a post shared via his X (formerly Twitter) platform, the 2024-25 Headies’ Next Rated Artiste wrote:

“40 million for Africa’s best player? Over my dead body.”

This followed a strong debate in the Nigerian football community on the belief that Super Eagles attacker, Lookman, is being undervalued in the European transfer market.

Lookman, who delivered a standout season with Atalanta—scoring 52 goals and providing 25 assists across 118 matches since joining from RB Leipzig—was instrumental in Atalanta’s Europa League triumph.

It would be recalled that Lookman’s Europa League final hat-trick made headlines globally and strengthened his reputation as one of Africa’s top footballers.

Despite his achievements, Inter Milan have reportedly capped their offer at €40 million, which many in the Nigerian football space feel does not match with Lookman’s true worth.

Atalanta, for their part, are demanding at least €50 million, and will not accept less for a player who has become one of their key assets.

Meanwhile, during this transfer window, Inter are not the only ones vying for the signature of the forward. Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal, and other clubs have been previously linked with the player, but there has not been a concrete offer.

While Inter remain in negotiations with Atalanta, Lookman has resumed training with the rest of the squad, while a move away from the Gewiss Stadium is expected.
