Omodewu reportedly traveled to the U.S. in November 2023 for medical treatment. He sadly lost his life after nearly a year of receiving care for an undisclosed illness in the country, where he held citizenship. When reached for comment, the state Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, confirmed the news, stating, “Our chairman is dead.”
