Adeboye Reveals When and How He Will Die
Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has once again shared his vision of how he believes his life will end his time on earth. peacefully, without illness, and on a Sunday.
Speaking during the ongoing International Convention themed “The Overcomers” at the church’s Lagos-Ibadan Expressway camp, the revered cleric said he expects to pass away after a day of worship and his favourite meal.
“I will die on a Sunday after attending service, eat my beloved pounded yam, and then pass on without any sickness,” Adeboye stated, describing his anticipated passing as sudden and painless.
This is not the first time the 82-year-old pastor has spoken of this vision; he first revealed it publicly two years ago. Adeboye said his belief stems from the understanding that death does not always follow prolonged illness, adding that his own end will come after a joyful day of fellowship and thanksgiving.
During his message, he also addressed the topic of longevity, noting that “long life is a right” for believers but warning that spiritual forces often seek to cut lives short. He urged Christians to fight for a full and fruitful life through faith and righteous living.
Citing biblical examples of women who overcame infertility through prayer, Adeboye encouraged the congregation to remain steadfast in belief and embrace fruitfulness in all aspects of life.
The RCCG International Convention continues this week, drawing worshippers from across Nigeria and abroad.
