Neno Evangelism Centre founder Pastor James Ng’ang’a has responded defiantly to claims that the government intends to reclaim land occupied by his church.
Speaking during a sermon, Ng’ang’a insisted that the land was legally acquired, saying it was purchased from the Central Bank of Kenya and not from a private individual.
“If the government wants that land, they should pay me Ksh 200 billion. I bought that land from the Central Bank, not from Kamau,” Ng’ang’a said.
The outspoken preacher maintained that any engagement over the property must involve dialogue and compensation, arguing that the government should follow the same process it used when selling the land to him.
“They must come and we talk so that I sell it back to them the same way they sold it to me,” he added.
Ng’ang’a’s remarks have sparked debate online, with supporters defending his stance while critics questioned the valuation and the circumstances surrounding the land ownership.
The comments come amid heightened scrutiny over land ownership disputes involving religious institutions and government agencies across the country.
