PayPal Holdings Inc. is rolling out a new physical credit card in the United States, expanding its suite of consumer financial products as it seeks to enhance its presence in physical retail spaces.

Issued in partnership with Synchrony Financial, the new credit card will offer a six-month promotional no-interest financing period on eligible travel-related purchases, including flights and hotel bookings. The card is expected to be available to U.S. customers in the coming weeks.

The initiative marks a strategic push by the California-based digital payments giant to complement its dominance in online transactions with greater visibility and usage in in-person shopping.

“PayPal Credit is one of our most popular products,” said Scott Young, Global Head of Consumer Financial Services at PayPal. “This new card gives our customers more choice and flexibility wherever they shop.”

The new offering joins PayPal’s growing portfolio of consumer finance products, which currently includes a longstanding debit card and a 3% cash-back credit card. It signals PayPal’s broader effort to increase customer engagement across all purchasing channels—both online and offline.

The launch comes amid a flurry of activity from the San Jose-based company, which has recently made strategic investments in stablecoin infrastructure, formed partnerships with competitors to broaden market reach, and debuted an advertising division aimed at unlocking new revenue streams.

By entering deeper into traditional retail financial services while continuing to innovate in digital finance, PayPal is positioning itself as a more comprehensive player in the evolving fintech landscape.
