WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Governor of Bauchi State and Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, Bala Mohammed, has commended Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, for his outstanding performance in office despite fierce political opposition. Mohammed, who inaugurated the 14.1km Umuakali-Eberi-Omodu Road project in Omuma Local Government Area, on Saturday, expressed his admiration for Governor Fubara’s leadership style, describing him as “a performer per excellence.” “My day is made and ended very well for me to have found myself here in the midst of the hope for Nigeria. The hope for Nigeria because of the good governance that is being established,” Mohammed said. He apologized for underestimating Governor Fubara, stating that he had witnessed the governor’s commitment to delivering projects despite distractions. Governor Fubara, in his remarks, emphasized the significance of the road project, which serves as a major connecting route to several communities in Omuma Local Government Area and neighboring Abia State. He noted that the project marks a major milestone in the area, which was previously under the control of a single individual. “This Local Government was under a siege by one person. But today, you can see the liberation. You can even see the excitement in the faces of everyone here,” Fubara said. The Rivers State Governor also reiterated his commitment to building men and women to drive development in the state, rather than relying on a single individual. He expressed his determination to ensure that the people of Rivers State benefit from his administration’s projects and programs. In a related development, Governor Fubara has again expressed his faith and confidence in the nation’s Judiciary, describing it as the last hope of the common man. He advised Nigerians to keep faith alive and refuse to be swayed negatively by recent happenings.
