PDP Members Shun Candidate, Vow to Vote Anambra APC Guber Candidate

Ukachukwu

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State have pledged their support for Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship flag bearer in the November 8 election against its candidate Chief Jude Ezenwafor.

Speaking during a meeting with Ukachukwu and his campaign team, their leader, Joseph Madubeze, said the move was a collective decision of PDP stakeholders from Anambra North Senatorial Zone.

He declared that they are determined to work with Ukachukwu to end Governor Charles Soludo’s tenure.

According to him, the administration of Soludo has brought “pains and hardship” instead of relief to the people of the state. He stressed that their move is not personal but a collective decision to align with someone they believe has “demonstrable progressive credentials.”

“Daniel has come to judgment,” Madubueze declared, describing Ukachukwu as the right choice to lead Anambra.

Ukachukwu, in his response, welcomed the group warmly and praised their courage. He said their decision shows that Anambra people are united in the mission to remove Soludo through the ballot box.

However, those in attendance were only a representation of the larger PDP family ready to shift their allegiance to the APC candidate.

The development comes weeks after 4 Anambra House of Assembly Lawmakers announced their defection to APC, promising to work for the success of Ukachukwu’s campaign.
