The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has set up a 24-member appeal panel to review complaints arising from its recently concluded Osun State governorship primary.

The panel will sit in Abuja on Thursday, December 11, ahead of the 2026 governorship election in the state.

In a statement signed by the National Organising Secretary, Theophilus Dakas Shan, the party said the sitting will take place at the Bauchi Governors Lodge, Tatari Ali House, behind the ECOWAS Secretariat in the Asokoro District. The session is fixed for 11 am.

According to the statement, the National Working Committee of the party approved the list of members, with senior lawyer Kabiru Tanimu Turaki named as chairman of the panel. Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja will serve as secretary.

The party listed members drawn from different regions, reflecting what it described as a broad approach to the exercise. Among those named are Dr Daniel Ambrose Woyengikuro, Alhaji Hamza Akuyan Koshe, Ihediwa Richard Nnabugwu, Isa Abubakar, Okechukwu Obiechena Daniel and Hon Theophilus Daka Shan.

Others include Comrade Ini Ememobong, Hon Aribisala Adewale Idowu, Barrister Bara’u Shafi’i, Ogbu Anthonia Chinenyenwa, Chief Emmanuel Ogidi and Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo.

Administrative support will be provided by Emmanuel Ekpe and Suleiman Usman.

The party noted that the committee is expected to work within its legal and constitutional framework. “In carrying out this assignment, the Panel is expected to be guided strictly by the PDP Constitution (2025 as amended), the Electoral Guidelines for Party Primary and Electoral Act, 2022” the statement read.
