THE National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially affirmed Sunday Udeh-Okoye as the party’s National Secretary, following a recent Court of Appeal judgment.

The decision was announced in a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba.

According to the statement, the PDP’s leadership is bound by the court’s ruling and has resolved to transmit its decision to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other relevant bodies for official recognition.

The announcement followed an extensive review of a memo presented by the Acting National Chairman, which included legal opinions, the declaratory judgment of the Enugu High Court, and the Court of Appeal ruling from the Enugu Division.

The NWC overwhelmingly upheld Udeh-Okoye’s position, emphasizing that there is no existing or superior court order challenging the ruling.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to upholding its constitution, the rule of law, and the democratic principles on which it was founded.

The PDP also expressed appreciation to its leaders, members, and stakeholders for their loyalty and dedication to the party’s stability and growth. It reiterated its commitment to promoting democracy and ensuring the well-being of Nigerians.
