Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has publicly spoken about a renewed relationship with her former husband, Olakunle “Churchill” Oladunni, describing it as a spiritual restoration after years of public conflict.
In an Instagram post, Dikeh posted a photo of Churchill and said their reconciliation was the result of divine intervention, following what she described as “ten long years of public battles, deep wounds, broken communication, bitterness, and pain.”
According to the actress, peace has now replaced hostility between both parties, particularly for the sake of their child. She credited the change to faith, humility, and prayer, saying human effort failed where “God stepped in.”
“What looked ugly, impossible, and beyond repair has been touched by mercy,” she wrote. “Peace has replaced chaos. Respect has returned where anger once lived.”
Dikeh described the renewed relationship as a “miracle,” adding that it was achieved not by personal strength or wisdom, but through spiritual growth. She also expressed gratitude to Churchill for “choosing peace” and yielding to what she described as God’s direction.
“I am deeply grateful to the father of my child, Dr Kunle, for yielding to God’s word and choosing peace,” she said.
The actress framed the reconciliation as centred on co-parenting, noting that love had “found its voice again” for their child.
Dikeh and Churchill married in 2015 and welcomed a son shortly after. Their marriage collapsed publicly in 2017, leading to a prolonged and bitter separation that played out across social media platforms and courtrooms.
Both parties accused each other of misconduct at different points, with disputes over custody and access to their child becoming widely publicised.
