A former Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Biodun Olujimi, has declared that the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, can’t repeat the heroics of the last election in which he won millions of votes in the 2027 election.
Specifically, Olujimi predicted that Obi won’t be able to defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 polls.
Naijaonpoint recalls that though Tinubu won the 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi defeated him in Lagos State.
However, Olujinmi, who spoke on Thursday during an interview with Channels Television, said the former Anambra State Governor won’t be able to prevent President Tinubu’s second-term bid in the 2027 presidential poll.
She submitted that the gimmicks of 2023 won’t work for Obi and whatever strategy he may come up with, Tinubu would be able to counter it as a veteran politician who knows the game and the political terrain.
The former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State declared that it would be an uphill task for any politician to defeat Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
“The rhetoric of the last election will not work again, except he comes with another gimmick. And you see, this (Tinubu) is a politician, a man who knows the terrain well.
“This is the first time we are having a dyed-in-the-wool politician as president. He knows his onions; he knows all of us. He has been in the system for very long. It’s tough.
“This is a man who has worked with everyone, who has been useful to everyone, who has had opportunities to assist governments. Beating him? Uphill task,” she said.
