Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Obi wrote: “Your Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, as you mark your 82nd birthday anniversary today, on behalf of my family, I sincerely congratulate you. May God Almighty grant you many more healthy and happy years ahead. -PO” The tweet has garnered widespread reactions, with many applauding the gesture of statesmanship. Buhari, who handed over power to President Bola Tinubu in May 2023, is celebrating his birthday in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State. The former President received some of his political associates in his country home earlier today. The entourage includes former Ogun state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
