Peter Obi Is Not Alone And Would Never Be Alone – Obidient Coordinator Declares

Peter Obi

The National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Yunusa Tanko, has declared that the 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, enjoys the support of Nigerians.

According to Tanko, Obi has an army of well-meaning Nigerians behind him.

Tanko made the assertion in reaction to a remark by an 𝕏 user, @nobsdaslushkid, who said that Obi would have been buried without the Obidient Movement.

Nobsdaslushkid wrote: “I know this might sound silly, but without the Obidients, they would have buried Peter Obi a long time ago.

“He’s lucky to have an army of his own. Regardless of the outcome, one thing is clear, he didn’t walk the talk alone.”

In response, Tanko declared that Peter Obi has never been alone and would never be alone, adding that he is proud to be a supporter of the former Anambra State Governor.

He wrote, “His Excellency Peter Obi is not alone, has never been and will never be.

“He has an army of well-meaning Nigerians solidly behind him which I’m fortunate to be its interim Coordinator worldwide.

“I AM OBIDIENT AND PROUD. Are you OBIdient and proud?”

Meanwhile, Naijaonpoint reports that Obi has reacted to reports linking him with a return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2027 elections.

Obi also clarified reports that reaffirm his allegiance to the coalition-led African Democratic Congress (ADC), noting that he has not expressed any views on the two parties.

The former Anambra State Governor, in a statement released on his behalf by Ibrahim Umar of the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR) in Abuja on Tuesday, urged that words should not be put in his mouth.

Umar noted that the purported statement from Obi, denying his membership in the PDP and reaffirming his commitment to the ADC, did not emanate from him.

He added that Peter Obi remains focused on building a better Nigeria while political stakeholders are the ones speculating about his moves.
